Sunlight bored me
Until that day
I sat on the loo.

I read the paper under the bathroom window.
Sunlight drove full throttle through my garden’s bamboo.
It cast a splatter of shadows on the window.

Newspaper print-type letters stood stiff on the page
But those coal-black stains waved at me.
I waved back.

Sunlight turned a corner
Around and behind a cloud and
I called after it aloud.
